@20204622hkus: Hi. In fact, the discourse used by its opponents cannot be cited by reference sources, and furthermore even much of the above discourse cannot be supported by reference sources. One of the big reasons I didn't initially translate this list to the English Wikipedia was because it was confusing. I will remove the ones that can't be proven in Fu's source. ときさき くるみ not because they are easy, but because they are hard 14:49, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

can I put Chinese refs? 20204622hkus (talk) 14:57, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@20204622hkus: Of course yes, but you can actually find very little in the Chinese literature that specifically supports these claims either. ときさき くるみ not because they are easy, but because they are hard 15:00, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
why it calls "breakthrough studies"? 20204622hkus (talk) 15:01, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@20204622hkus: It is the literal translation used by the New York Times ([1]), other literal translations include "passology" (used by Dissent, [2]), "breakthrough school" (used by the Financial Times, [3]) and even "replacement theory" ([4]). ときさき くるみ not because they are easy, but because they are hard 15:04, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
those aren't literal translation at all. 20204622hkus (talk) 15:06, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
erroneous translations. 20204622hkus (talk) 15:08, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@20204622hkus: Well they actually are. For example, "Geremie R. Barmé, a Sinologist in New Zealand who has followed the rise of 'breakthrough studies' — ruguanxue in Chinese — says the historical comparisons reflect anxiety 'about China's great nation status and its place in the world.'" (transcribed from the NYT) And, "Though their comments are frequently deleted, critics of ruguanxue (pass-ology) do sometimes appear on social media. Some embrace the philosophy of jiasu zhuyi (accelerationism), according to which the overreach of the party will lead to its collapse." literal but not literal. ok. I don't care. 20204622hkus (talk) 15:11, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for the refs you gave. 20204622hkus (talk) 15:12, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. ときさき くるみ not because they are easy, but because they are hard 15:15, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@20204622hkus: It seems that "Entering the strategic pass-logy" should be "Entering the pass-logy", so maybe passology is instead would be the best? ときさき くるみ not because they are easy, but because they are hard 15:15, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
maybe, at least it has a "Pass" (half of the 关) inside. 20204622hkus (talk) 15:18, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
