Verification

[edit]

'bulls4ever'

thank you for your reply, and I am happy to see you take the advice as intended; I never intended to slight you. The issue I raised was as much style as substance. I look forward to your new insert ,and hopefully we can work on it together to help it be as good as possible.

good luck

All that was written and placed under the “popularity” section was taken from various RLI documents, statements and minutes from its inauguration in 2000 to the present date.

Should you be asking if the article I wrote can be verified rather than informing me that thet are opinions and accusations rather than fact? No accusations have been made and to be sure no one intends to start an argument.

Yes Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and should read as a statement of fact.

The quality of Wikipedia is paramount as with any other informational source, the quality would only flail if its contents were incomplete or incorrect.

Appreciating your concern over Wikipedias impartiality and quality I will over the next few days re-write the article inserting the appropriate links verifying its contents ensuring quality at its best.

POV Violation

Bulls4Ever

I am sure you believe very sincerely in the "popularity" section you have repeatedly inserted in this article. Indeed much of it may be true, but unverifiable.

Unfortunately that belief is still an opinion, not a fact. It is not appropriate for an article in an encyclopedia, and it reads more like one side of a heated argument than a constructive NPOV statement of fact.

Wikipedia is not the place for making accusatons against or starting arguments with the sports governing body, whether or not they are true, or genuinely made.

Please understand I am not defnding RLI or any one else, only the objectivity and quality of Wikipedia. I am sure there are other more suitable places for you to make your case, and I urge you to use them.

Please read the Wikipedia NPOV policy.

Questions for Dave Southern

[edit]

If anyone is interested, I'm currently in conversation with Dave Southern, chairmen of RLI. If anyone needs to know any information to fill in caps or to provide a more complete history, type your questions bellow. Also, there was available a history page on the RLI website, but it seems to have vanished. Was this article created from that? If not, I'll c if I can get it source it, it had quite a lot of information. POds 11:51, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trusting this page is still live it would be interesting to know; why the RLI web site pages never seem to read in unison? With the record of the Portadown Panthers, failing to show, pulling out of the league and both could have been avoided but for poor planing and managing why have RLI placed Manus Lapin on the board of directors. surely one has to prove ones self in RL prior to been given part responsability of running the organisation. (Rugby Leaguer) 10th April 2007.

Why have Waterford walked away from Rugby League Ireland, an established team for six years and founder members of RLI. They go and no one asks questions. Three teams from Munster have walk away from Rugby League Ireland and no one has lifted a finger or thought to ask why.

An attempt was made last year to remove the Chairman of the Waterford Vikings by David Southern and his executives but failed, RLI and the instigator of the attempted removal apologised to the Vikings Chair and that was suppose to end it all. It did'nt why not?

Next we see Waterford Insulted and not just the chairman but the players and officials by been placed in the south Conference League after been guaranteed a place in the Elite League by finishing fifth in the 2006 All Ireland League. These surely are bullying tactics. The ISC cant intervene because RLI failed to get recognition by not meeting the criteria and were sent packing to the IRFU to ask them if they would govern Rugby League in Ireland. Dave Southern failed to report this to the members of RLI why? The Munster rep why has he not interveened?

Money was collected to take players across the water to play Scotland. This money never showed up in the 2006 accounts. Why not? where is it?

Judjing by the set up of Rugby League Ireland it gives the impresion of been an exclusive Dave Southern club. As above as Rugby Leaguer has asked why is Manus Lappin in there when hes failed all to date. Ed Daly who is watching Munster collapse around his heals and doing nothing about it. Carl Roach whos done sweet nothing to date, Tom McCormack another freind of Mr Southerns whos done sweet nothing in the past five years. I could keep going. Why Mr Southern, why? I don't know the ins and outs one way or the other, but thi sort of editorial pov content/attack is just not appropriate for a factual article. I am not making any comment on whether its true or not; it simply isn't the sort of information that should be in a short factual article.

Fair use rationale for Image:Rli.jpg

[edit]

Image:Rli.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:56, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
