Rudolph

[edit]

The information on this page about the personal name is accurate, but the surname Rudolph actually belonged to the Anglo-Saxons. In German, it's spelled with an 'F' instead of 'PH'. Not to say if it's spelled with 'PH' it can't be German, I'm sure in Germany today it's spelled both ways. However, My Paternal grandmother has the last name Rudolph and her ancestry includes English, Welsh, and Scottish. My family and I personally have no German Ancestry at all. It's very interesting to have a family name that is and/or derived from a German name, but have no German Ancestors found. Tru100 (talk) 02:01, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
