I know there is a movement to integrate the East German formula drivers within the German drivers category. Before we do that, I think it is important that we expand some of at least the most famous East German drivers. There is actually a lot of history behind the early East German drivers and the pioneering they did under the restrictions they were under the Government. Many of them built and raced their own cars, with funding and parts being more difficult to come by due to the fact there were no somewhat large private enterprises. With the amount of history that surrounds these drivers like Rudolf Krause, it could be argued that the category of East German Drivers could stay separate, as long it is actually given the love and attention needed to stand by itself. The information is there, it just needs writers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dseberha (talk • contribs) 20:24, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
