NOTABILITY
Regarding the 'notability' notice that has been added to this page by an editor, I propose to remove it in the near future unless someone can explain why I should not.
Notability can be proved by references to reliable secondary sources. The references given in the article include relevant reports from the BBC, the Daily Telegraph, and several regional UK newspapers. Most of the references given are articles specifically about him, i.e. he is the main subject of the article, not just mentioned in passing. Many more similar references are to be found on the web but I did not want to include too many as they are all fairly similar.
Ricky Minns seems to be a fairly self-effacing and modest individual, but he possesses artistic talent which he displays in a unique way, and I believe a WP entry is needed on him, because of the widespread media coverage of him and his work. Many people seeing or hearing a media article about him may resort to WP for more information. I did, and was surprised not to find a page about him.
Unfortunately my lack of knowledge and facility with writing WP pages means that other editors have had to come in and add or improve things. Thank you to those who have helped in this way! Greatly appreciated.
