Ruby pornographic actress
[edit]In the people section, Ruby pornographic actress, points to the ruby gemstone article. This should either be fixed to point to the right article or deleted. 189.144.197.43 (talk) 01:57, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- I've removed the link. The article about the pornographic actress was deleted in 2007 because of lack of notability. I see no reason to add the link back until we have an article about her asserting her notability. JIP | Talk 06:07, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Fixed Esperanto link
[edit]There was a link on this disambiguation page to the Esperanto article http://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruby -- I have removed it. There is no unique Esperanto word corresponding to the various senses of the English word "ruby".
- The Esperanto word for the red gemstone is "Rubeno". The word "Ruby" (the computer language and the Asian typographic style) is used only as a foreign loanword in Esperanto (as spelled, the word seriously violates Esperanto rules of orthography and grammar).
I added a link to http://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubeno at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruby . - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruby_programming_language currently links to http://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruby_(komputillingvo) , which is correct.
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruby_character currently links to http://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tipo_Ruby , which is also correct. -- Writtenonsand 21:41, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Ruby
[edit]there is also a painting elephant (passed away, I believe) from Phoenix Zoo (or nearby) who painted many lithographs and generated very much money for zoo-related charities. I do not see this on this disambiguation. Certainly it deservers a slot.
There is a W3C draft specification for East Asian language display in a "Ruby" format: https://drafts.csswg.org/css-ruby-1/ The first paragraph (under Abstract) gives the definition. Both Firefox and Chrome support display of these "Ruby" text-based units, so this should be mentioned in the disambiguation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.231.191.233 (talk) 17:16, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
ATI's digital superstar
[edit]I'm fairly surprised that we don't have a wikipedia page for Ruby, ATI's mascot, let alone not mentioning her at all on the disambiguation page until just now. I propose that a page be made for her. If this is to be undertaken, a substantial amount of the material will probably come from ATI's official page for her - http://ati.amd.com/ruby/index.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.116.45.227 (talk) 06:25, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
A fictional town called Ruby
[edit]I read a book a few years ago, a novel set in the USA, in which a town had been founded and populated almost totally by African Americans with particularly dark, 'blue-black' skin. I think the town was called Ruby. I think the novel was called Ruby too, and I think one of the original settlers' children was called Ruby, but that she died.
I came to wikipedia to remind myself of it, but it isn't here. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Nick Barnett (talk) 00:10, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
