How can 21 year old already has played 65(!) matches for Spain? That seems really strange, cause he would have had his debut at age 15(!)

He played today for Real Madrid against Zaragoza(!), so he has not moved to Zaragoza.

Transfer cost

[edit]

Any idea how much his transfers cost when he moved to and from Real Madrid? Come on the Mothers (talk) 11:36, 16 July 2008 (UTC) SPAINISH —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.135.93.50 (talk) 09:14, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Former?

[edit]

I don’t think it’s correct to call De la Red ”former” and ”retired”. AFAIK he has just been put down for the season and he still has a contract until 2011, maybe even longer if it was extended last summer when RM bought him back. There of course is the unfortunate possibility that he will never play again, but that’s speculation. –Kooma (di algo) 08:03, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yeah, you're right. There was recently an article on Goal.com that said that the health care company rejected to see de la Red as "retired", which meant that Real could no longer force the disability clause on him. The Spanish wiki is probably updated with this news. P.R.O.C.K.Y. (Mydoctor93) 23:00, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
