Involvement with Andrew Wakefield and MMR
[edit]It's plainly one of the signal accomplishments of Professor Pounder's career that he hired, mentored, and promoted Andrew Wakefield. He mediated the publication of Wakefield's famous Lancet paper, and he also told journalists that it might have been a better idea not to combine measles, mumps and rubella vaccine into a single shot. These are important matters, but I notice that past editors have sought to introduce this material, but it has been deleted without explanation. The information is properly referenced, and should now be a permanent part of Professor Pounder's distinguished biography. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.196.142.146 (talk) 02:31, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
