English surname? I seriously doubt that. The anglo-saxon theory under 2. fails to state that surnames developed long after the Norman conquest. Pronunciation

I question the pronunciation given, at least as the only or predominate one. The given (/rɒθ/) renders the O as in body. The pronunciation (/rɔθ/) with the O as in frog or the OU in bought is at least as common if not more. Venqax (talk) 15:17, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
