Coat of arms & name - ???

Name after coat of arms, really?! Normally it's the other way 'round.
The only depicted old(-ish, 1906) coat of arms doesn't have ANY roses at all, certainly not under the helm. Nor are any discernible in the modern version. Defining element nowhere to be seen other than the shield, so 1 out of 3 heraldic images. Confusing.
