BBC article
[edit]There's more information the film in this BBC article: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-55092341 JezGrove (talk) 14:27, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
The film mentions that the Navy ship in the climactic scene is Andrea Doria. I tried to google whether that was in real life or was the ship that was used in the filming. The ship in the scene looks like it might be. It would be nifty fact if we could confirm it. I had little luck in finding it though. Americasroof (talk) 02:06, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Americasroof: According to this article, they used a smaller ship and lot of CGI to recreate Andrea Doria. Anyway, even if the film mentions Andrea Doria, that ship was not involved in the actual events this film is based on ("Rose Island. What is true in the Netflix film?").--Alienautic (talk) 02:23, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Alienautic:Thanks for the amazingly quick response! It's interesting they would have picked that name unless it had some basis. The name obviously got my attention to look it up since the name is also the famous cruise ship that went aground.Americasroof (talk) 03:37, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
