Attention

[edit]

At 20 years old and with the cartoonist having won a prestigious award, I think this article deserves some attention. There's plenty of material to work with. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 17:46, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I expanded the article based on what I could remember of the strip's most notable themes. This is off the top of my head, so there may be inaccuracies that need to be revised.

Henpecked

[edit]

Does anyone else think this statement's too POV? "The strip is unlike Blondie or For Better or For Worse in that the strip does not focus on the wife as title or main character, and the husband is not hen-pecked but is the undisputed family leader." I don't think there is much difference between these strips as far as the wives and husbands are concerned. And surely John Patterson in FBOFW is not henpecked or he's as henpecked as Jimbo is in RIR. --Chris S. 20:42, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Tags Removed

[edit]

The article has sufficient depth and bredth now. Expansion tag removed. Z4ns4tsu 19:17, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I also removed the "clean up" tag. If you still feel this article requires clean-up, put a note here and explain what needs to be done. Z4ns4tsu 19:24, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Date begun?

[edit]

The article on creator Pat Brady currently says the strip started syndication in 1983. This article says the strip started in 1984. Which is correct? InnocuousPseudonym 07:09, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Author change?

[edit]

It says that since 2004 the comic strip is drawn by Don Wimmer; however, any information why this change happened is missing from both, the "Rose is Rose" article and Pat Brady's article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.163.215.183 (talk) 08:59, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I remember when this happened. Pat himself wanted to retire, but didn't want to end the strip. I know that he still had a fair amount of creative input for the first year or two after the handoff. I don't know how involved he is anymore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.164.122.173 (talk) 19:19, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
