Tunbridge Wells
[edit]Apart from on Wiki I've never seen anything about Rose being from Tunbridge Wells. Any further information? Thesaint06 19:08, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- I agree - I've deleted this line pending confirmation as there doesn't appear to be any source for it. Certainly the band's publicity material and her history prior to joining the band appear to indicate she comes from Brighton (if anyone knows otherwise feel free to revert it, but do provide a source). - As Rose said over there, she was born in Hampstead in London, but lived in Tunbridge Wells for a few years, and then in Brighton for 10 years. --77.7.63.161 (talk) 23:04, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Citation
[edit]Described as pixieish by who? Citation?
- I've added the {{fact}} tag. - Akamad 01:11, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
This page would appear to have been written by it's own subject?
- And your point is? There is nothing in WP:COI to forbid writing about yourself, although it's frowned on for obvious reasons regarding the difficulty of keeping things neutral. Incidentally, as the original version of this article was written by the same person who wrote the articles on the rest of the band, I find it fairly unlikely. In any case, all the articles have been heavily reedited since then — iridescent (talk to me!) 04:08, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Joe Lean
[edit]Did her younger brother really date Joe Lean, or is there a word missing somewhere? — iridescent 00:22, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- Rose dated Joe Lean. Pullshapes 12:38, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- It'd be a much more interesting story the other way, though... BTW, do you have a connection with the band or Memphis? (Whatever some people may tell you, it's not a problem if you do.) I have all the assorted Pipette-related pages watchlisted as at some point I intend to clean up & expand at least the band article to WP:GA status & have noticed you doing a lot of work on them. — iridescent 17:36, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- Nah, I'm just an obsessive fan, I'm afraid! I know the band to speak to and things, but it's only because I show up at so many of their gigs, I'm not linked to them in any other way :) I spend a lot of time on their forum so hear a lot of things about the band almost instantly when things come to light and can always message the band to confirm things if things are a bit up in the air and end up on here Pullshapes 18:38, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Change name of page?
[edit]Rose is no longer "Rose Pipette" since spliting with The Pipettes. I propose the page be renamed from Rose Pipette to Rose Dougall? Pullshapes (talk) 16:22, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Mild oppose for now Is she notable outside her role as 'Rose Pipette'? If not this might be best kept at the current name. Narson (talk) 18:05, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- Agree. See of course WP:BLP#People who are relatively unknown, but it may need some expansion to cover cases like this. Andrewa (talk) 20:36, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- Personally, I think they should all have been listed under their real names from the start. I've never once actually seen her listed as "Rose Pipette" on anything official (a skim through some sleeves seems to confirm this). — iridescent 20:51, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- Interesting points... a good idea in principle IMO, consistent with WP:NC, and in this particular case it sounds like the article might have been always misnamed, regardless. Hmmm... Andrewa (talk) 00:39, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- She's going by Rose Elinor Dougall now, as seen on her official myspace here: http://www.myspace.com/roseelinordougallmusic - it's clear she intends to go by this name from now on. Agree with Pullshapes that the change should be made to either Rose Dougall or Rose Elinor Dougall. Desktopgirl 14:55, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
