Re-write
[edit]I'm opening discussion here just to make a few notes about problems I see in this article. These are not meant as slams at the original author, or any subsequent editor(s), but more as a "To Do" list of improvements to be made. I strongly encourage others to add to this list. I will attempt to work my way through these items, but assistance from others will be very much appreciated.
- Flesh out and rewrite Introduction. In particular...
- Give her date of death as well as her date of birth.
- Create a general summary of Kelly's life and why the reader should care about her.
- Include at least some mention of her association with Aleister Crowley.
- Include a sentence or two about her life apart from Crowley - her career, any accomplishments, etc.
- Move the material currently in the intro (aside from place and date of birth) to later sections. It is too minor to be useful here.
- Write the section "Life With Aleister Crowley." The section should open with some basic information on how and when they met, who Crowley was (just enough to show why the reader should care about him), and when they married.
- Add more information. Create new sections as needed.
- Information on the children she had with Crowley. I'm not sure, but I believe that they went to Cairo just after the death of their first child. I will have to check to be sure.
- Discussion of her alcoholism, her divorce from Crowley, and her death.
- Other information as we think of it. My point here is that Rose did a lot more than just act as Crowley's medium before the discovery of Liber AL. She should be credited as a whole person here.

NPOV

This reads like a parody of Mohamed receiving the Qur'an from the angel Gabriel. This fawning attitude is not up to Wikipedia standards. Nuttyskin 00:08, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Rose Kelly in popular culture
[edit]Rose's Lime Water - The Ads ran in Crowley's Paper the Image resembles Rose herself. Could this product be named after her, and owned by her, her family, or Crowley? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.244.43.91 (talk) 18:45, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
The German synth-pop group Alphaville recorded a song about her entitled "Red Rose."
I have removed this statement, but kept it intact (and grammatically corrected) here in case someone comes up with a reference. As far as I can tell, this assertion is entirely unsupported by the lyrics, and I can find no source that will verify this claim. --Geoff Capp 11:56, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Added again, because 1. Due to a relieable source: the german Der Spiegel [1]. 2. Moreover the Lyric seems obvious: "DO WHAT YOU WILL -- shall be our destiny, we will unfold The secrets of the new Jerusalem..." --46.115.54.125 (talk) 18:45, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
Photograph, etc.
[edit]Does anyone have a larger photo of Kelly, or at least the capability of placing into the system an expandable version of the photograph used? It doesn't enlarge any more than the small picture shown, and could be larger for balance.
And has research given the complete names of her husbands, before and after Crowley, all the page has is the last names. Thanks, Aleister Wilson (talk) 18:22, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
