This article is obviously not ready to be a Good Article and requires an amount of work that, in my opinion, could not be easily accomplished within the holding period. So, unfortunately, I feel I have to fail it.
There are a number of things that need to be improved:
- It definitely does not meet some of the Good Article criteria, especially number 3, "Broad in its coverage." The article as it is now is basically just a plot section, with almost no mention of 1) how/when/why the book was written 2)how the book was released and received and 3) critical analysis of the book, based on the work of established scholars.
- It needs to be wikified, as the tag at the top of the article indicates. This is Wikipedia parlance that simply means it needs to be broken into sections, and organized more like other Wikipedia articles. See the Wikipedia Manual of Style for more information along that line.
- It could also use a good copyedit to improve its grammar and flow. I suggest you ask someone over at the Guild of Copy Editors. They know the Manual of Style very well over there, and may be able to help with the article's wikifying problem, too.
