I have wanted to create a page for Ms. Rosa Whitaker, because her vast achievements should be highlighted and are reputable, especially when considering her role as the first ever Assistant United States Trade Representative for Africa. Furthermore, there has been a growing profile of The Whitaker Group.

I know that the information comes from a private domain, but I have attained permission.

That's fine. But you should rewrite the biography yourself and just use that document as a source, see Wikipedia:CS

Also, that statement needs to be displayed on the thewhitakergroup.us site, not here. :)

Hi, I was wondering what I should now write to make the page appropriate- and not seem like "advertisement" material? Since I took out the block quote that discussed her personal relationship with Africa and how it's the love of the continent that fuels her motivation to work to increase its development, is it now appropriate?

And on The Whitaker Group website they have given permission.

Sorry Sallbgc, I have been watching your talk page but not here (but I am now) and did not see your response.

The reason it is tagged as an advertisement is because it casts positive light on the subject (at Wikipedia, we always write from a neutral point of view - even if the subject deserves positive or negative light)

Because you copied that information from the Whitaker group site, they were deliberately discussing her positive contributions as they have preconceptions about her and a vested interest in making her look good.

The other thing you must do before making claims about a living person in their biographical article here (they have their own set of more stringent rules here: WP:BLP) is make sure you reference everything with a verifiable, reputable source. The Whitaker group is not sufficient here, because they both have a bias and are not reporting information (as a newspaper, journal or book would).

I would recommend you:

1. Find more sources about Rosa, preferably from newspapers, journals, encyclopedias (the kind of sources you would submit in a bibliography)
2. Gather that information, and some of the information you have taken from the Whitaker group site, and write that out into an article (drafting it here is fine, saving it as a draft is also fine)
