Gracie Red/Black Belts
[edit]Gracie black belts are pretty worthless because they award them to themselves - in much the same way that Steven Seagal awarded all his black belts to himself too !
Name pronounciation?
[edit]all of his brothers have names that begin with the letter R yet are pronounced as an H. is this the case with Rorian? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.60.128.125 (talk) 05:24, 13 May 2007 (UTC).
- Yes. Only Roger Gracie pronounces it with the English "r" sound. hateless 07:17, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
No, this is not true. In Brazil, "Roger" is still pronounced as "Hoger" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.97.17.182 (talk) 02:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC) while it is true that "roger" would normally be pronounced "hoger" in brazil, roger himself has said that he prefers it pronounced "roger". i will admit to not remembering in what interview i read this, but it was right around the time he won the adcc absolute title.01:22, 15 March 2009 (UTC)unsigned —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.61.100.171 (talk)
That's fuck1ng hidiculous !
Advert tag
[edit]Tagged as an advert in the lead for fairly obvious reasons (the only 'section' is titled "He is determined to teach people how to live better!"; the rest is unsourced and written with flowery language that might as well have come from a UFC intern).70.72.188.128 (talk) 19:15, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
Agreed -- reads like a promotional feature. I will attempt to clean up the article and find sources for relevant facts.Billodom2 (talk) 16:32, 12 January 2016 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Rorion Gracie. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20100128060155/http://www.blackbeltmag.com:80/archives/719 to http://www.blackbeltmag.com/archives/719
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
