Chamber Orchestra
[edit]I would take issue with the description of RV as a "chamber orchestra". They are an instrumental pop group which plays classical/baroque-influenced music on a mixture of classical and electric/electronic instruments plus rock drums. To describe them as a chamber orchestra implies that they are comparable with a traditional, entirely acoustic chamber orchestra, which they are obviously not.

- Dear Mr Beck: The Italian Wikipedia article says: "..sono un ensemble musicale italiano che compendia la musica barocca prodotta da una tipica orchestra da camera e le sonorità della musica pop e rock.", which translates thus: "...are an Italian musical ensemble that emcompasses the baroque music produced by a typical chamber orchestra and the sonority of rock and pop mucic."
- This description, as I see it, points to them as a chamber orchestra capable of attaining unusual sonorities, not as an 'instrumental pop group'. In fact, many of their recordings are almost enirely classical, undistinguishable from those from any orthodox classical orchestra. Regards, --AVM (talk) 23:38, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
ITV
[edit]It's been 23 years, admittedly, but...wasn't La Serenissima used for ITV programme trailers, rather than BBC? I'm loathe to edit the main article unless anyone else can corroborate this one, but that's certainly my memory...David Brider 16:08, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
It *was* ITV. Changing it now. Eyetie 09:07, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

First appearance in Germany
[edit]I am quite sure they had their first appearance in an evening show live on German TV in Summer 1979, performing "San Marco". 2003:C8:9737:B400:69A6:ED36:30FD:1A0F (talk) 19:06, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
