Something I remember about Hunt was in his rookie season of 1963---after the Mets had lost 9 in a row to start the season,Hunt got the game winning hit for the Mets' first win.
Team owner Joan Payson sent Hunt a huge bocquet of roses.Hunt was out of the lineup for days,because he was violently allergic to the flowers.
