Requested move 22 December 2015
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Withdrawn. I agree that that discussion is the only one we need and that this one is unnecessary. Thanks for pointing that out, Steel1943. Next time I'll always check the edit history before tagging any pages for deletion. (non-admin closure) <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 22:57, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
Roll call (disambiguation) → Roll call – An attempt to tag the target page for SPEEDY was undone for the following reason:
The page at the base name was moved to Draft:Roll call, with a discussion on what the primary topic is at Draft talk:Roll call; if a consensus that the topic is not primary has been reached there we can move this dab to the base name and be done with this affair. <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 22:18, 22 December 2015 (UTC)speedy deletion not the answer - page has several attributions that need to be retained per WP:CWW
- Discussion is unnecessary. Some Gadget Geek, I fixed the WP:CWW issue you almost caused by tagging the redirect with {{Db-move}} when the redirect used to be an article (not a disambiguation page) that existed since 2009 by moving the page to the draft namespace (since the subject in the page's history doesn't have an article), then I re tagged the redirect for speedy deletion to move the disambiguation page to the base name per WP:DABNAME. Since I noticed that the you have also moved a lot of pages recently listed on WP:MDP and you are not an administrator, I would highly recommend that you verify the redirects to ensure that there is no edit history that needs to be retained per WP:CWW before you tag the redirect with {{Db-move}}. It could have been possible that other edit histories may have been lost with your {{Db-move}} tags that administrators acknowledged per your work on WP:MDP.
