With a standard set of sounds over 1400, the XP-30 is considered to be a synth with a great amount of sounds for its time. Additionally, its keyboard has a decent quality, comparably with some old electric pianos. And its weight and size makes it a portable solution comparably best to the Korg Triton LE 61
The Roland XP-30 lacks an internal sequencer and is therefore not able to function as a workstation like its older siblings (the XP-50, XP-60 and XP-80).Some info would be less subjective. I'll try.
