Roland Mesniers apprentice salary in the 1950/60ies was truly not 30,000 a month. This would have been an equivalent to a today's purchansing power of about €5700 or $7500! It can also not have been his annual salary, even this would have been way too much for an apprentice at that time. The comma used in France as decimal separator - not as digit separator - might have caused this. So his poor salary was maybe 30 or probably 300 Francs per month. |
