The following quotes were in the Legacy section but lack context or attribution:
"
Rohtas Fort is an outstanding example of early Muslim military architecture in the South Asia which incorporates features from elsewhere in the Islamic world. It also had a profound influence on the development of architectural styles in the Mughal Empire (and hence on the European colonial architecture that made abundant use of that tradition). It is also outstanding by virtue of the refinement and high artistic value of its decorative elements, notably its high- and low-relief carvings, its calligraphic inscriptions in marble and sandstone, its plaster decoration, and its glazed tiles.
And
There are no surviving examples of military architecture of this period on the same scale in the South Asia which survive to the same degree of completeness and conservation. Fatehpur Sikri (India) which is already on the World Heritage List represents the full Mughal realization of a form and style that owes everything to its precursor, Rohtas Fort.

I'm not clear why these are two separate articles. It looks like they could be merged into one to me. -Ladybirdintheuk 11:36, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- I agree that these both articles are about the same subject and they must be merged.

I donot think so. This fort is in Pakistan so should be sepratly discussed
The two articles concern the same fort in Pakistan and so should be merged.--Canadian Osprey 14:07, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Clarification
It needs to be clear that there is one Rohtas that is in Pakistan and its most distinguishing feature is the Rohtas Fort. The Rohtas,India should refer to the Rohtas that is in the state of Bihar in India, further information on which is available at http://rohtas.nic.in/
I would suggest, for the sake of accuracy, that both Rohtas, India and Rohtas Fort are not merged into one section and indeed kept completely seperate.
A section called Rohtas Fort, Pakistan needs to be kept, specifically regarding the Rohtas Fort only.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Muftian (talk • contribs)
Merge from Rohtas, India
(Below copied from Talk:Rohtas, India.) Pairadox 01:12, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
There seems to be a confusion in this article, as there seems to be some confusion between Rohtas fort in India and the one in Pakistan. regards Devraj Singh 05:02, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- there appears to be a number of places or jurisdictions in India called Rhotas but this article is definitely about Rhotas Fort which is in Pakistan. Therefore this should be merged with the Rhotas Fort page. --Canadian Osprey 17:43, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
'Basharat Ali Khan Bhatti was a very big and effictive warrior Rajpoot Land Lord who was the owner of huge land, which was started from village Malot, Pabbi up to Fort Rohtas at the bank of River Kahaan. Afghan King Sher Shah Soori started the construction of Fort Rohtas in 1539 to stop the Mughal Emperor Humayoun, who was defeated by Sher shah Soori during the battle of Kanauj But, there was an other big reason to construct the Rohtas Fort was to use against local tribe Gakhar Rajpoot and Bhatti Rajpoot as these two tribes were against Sher Shah Soori and allies to King Humayoun.
During the Construction of Fort Rohtas Bhatti Rajpoot and Gakhar Rajpoot were allies and started some kind of street fight against King Sher Shah Soori forces, which was led by Basharat Ali Khan Bhatti but all local tribes could not sustain them selves against King Sher Shah Soori and shifted to the different parts of country in which Basharat Ali Khan Bhatti shifted to Chakwal presently (Village Langah)and started the most honorable profession of TIBB and Hikmat which was inharrited to him by his grand grand father due to their wisdom and intellectualisim
