I'm new to this, so apologies if it's not done correctly. With respect to the name 'Rohtang', according to the Lonely Planet's Indian Himalaya (2nd edition, year 2000), it's a Tibetan word that means "Pile of Corpses", rather than a Persian word.

Rohtang does note mean that. You are confusing it with Marhi, which comes on the way to Rohtang. Marhi means cremation place as lot of people used to die on their way to Rohtang. --Nsdeonia (talk) 14:12, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
