Why WikiProject Crime?

[edit]

Why Project Crime? Though there is a possible international crime in the underlying facts, this case is not a criminal case: it is between states, not involving individuals, and it concerns an alleged treaty violation, where one state (Gambia) is alleging that another (Myanmar) breached its treaty obligation to the claimant state. Is Aung San Suu Kyi still on this case?

[edit]

The source for the claim that Aung San Suu Kyi is representing Myanmar for this case is a 2019 CNN article. Given the recent developments in Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi is currently in prison. Is she still representing Myanmar in this case from prison, or has she been replaced? Thanks.--JasonMacker (talk) 18:24, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
