The page presently states that the author "updates the story, setting it in the modern-day period, rather than choosing to set it in the 1950s." Two questions arise for rewriting this sentence to be more informative:
What is the "modern-day period" - contemporary to the book's writing? (It was published in 1999)
What is the significance of not "choosing to set it in the 1950s" - is this in relation to the novel Lolita?
