First time doing this
[edit]Roger is/was my cousin. My Mum was youngest of a large, Catholic family, and I'm the youngest of five, so there were some 30-years between Roger and I. I didn't know him well, but my Mum actually grew up with him - as brother and sister, essentially, due to my Mum being bombed out during World War II. She moved in with her big sister, who was over 20 years her senior. The decision to move to Canada was because of Roger's sister, Jackie, developing asthma in the post-War Birkenhead, so they emigrated to a cleaner climate. My Mum was all set to go with them, but changed her mind just before boarding the ship.
Is any of this useful? It seems such a short Wiki entry for a man who achieved so much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lesism (talk • contribs) 18:04, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Personal anecdotes and memories can't be used on Wikipedia, but if any of this is documented anywhere -- a book, an interview, a magazine article -- then it is very usable.Guinness323 (talk) 18:50, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
