  • "early 2007 for $125.7 million" exactly the same amount?? Is there a story there?
    • In summary, it may be a typo that was then circulated. There are several conflicting sources, which give two different dates for the same transaction. According to two sources, it was purchased in 2004 and refinanced in 2007; however, the Observer claims the building was purchased in 2007. As a result, I'm going to use the official NYC Department of Buildings deed-transfer document instead. The official document indicates that, on February 7, 2007 (p. 8), 200 West 57th Street Associates, Inc. (Eddie Trump) sold the building to RCGLV 200W57, LLC (RCG Longview) for $125,735,000. This indicates 2007 is the correct date. Interestingly, this is when the deed-transfer document is backdated to (January 25, 2004). I assume they meant to type 2007 on a number pad but instead slipped their finger by one key. Of course, I won't be able to say my hunch in the article, but pages 8 and 9 have the date January 24, 2007, clearly typewritten and handwritten. Epicgenius (talk) 17:52, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
