John Paul Jones' Contribution
[edit]Initially, the article had listed Jones as having played piano during this session. In the existing videos of the recording session, however, Jones can clearly be seen actually playing bass, and so I moved him into the group with the other bassists. There is indeed another pianist, other than McCartney, in the session who can be seen playing piano in the video, but it isn't Jones, and since I don't know who it actually is, I can't provide any information as to who, besides McCartney, played piano on record. Perhaps another more knowledgeable person could offer his assistance in that regards. 74.192.195.94 (talk) 00:39, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Single release
[edit]The article had a UK and US release date (different days in December 1979). I've no idea what these dates were (technically the song's release in the UK and US was on the LP which was June) but I've got rid of them. "Rockestra Theme" was the second single from the album in France (after "Getting Closer") and, like the US-only single "Arrow Through Me" (the US also went with "Getting Closer" as the first single), used the UK lead single ("Old Siam, Sir") as the B-side. There are also Dutch pressings but since they come with French writing on the sleeve etc, they were probably only pressed for the French market.--Retro junkie (talk) 21:34, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
