Name
[edit]The name is now officially "Rock Star: Supernova" because of the lawsuit over the use of the name Supernova. This page should be moved and someone should rewrite the article. TEG 05:14, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Nobody cares about the other "Supernova". I had never heard of the other Supernova and I don't think anyone cares about the lawsuit. I believe that there is only one Supernova- Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, Gilby Clarke and Lukas ROssi (?). There is only one Supernova and the injunction is a joke. The pop/punk Supernova- NOBODY CARES!!
- just to clarify. there is no ":" in the new name. I know i am knitpicking but all promo material has it as "Rock Star Supernova". Dezza2001 02:06, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
As far as I am concerned, there is only one Supernova and that is the SUpernova featuring Jason Newsted, Gilby Clarke, Tommy Lee and Lukas Rossi (?).
Reality television formed?
[edit]The article states that "Supernova is a reality television formed supergroup". Is there any citation or supporting info for this claim? I'm not surprised, but that is a rather gratuitious assertion without any backup information. --68.83.221.186 01:09, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Um, do you actually watch TV?
I think that he talked about that the CBS not own (now) the band, now the rock star supernova is really a band.
Gilby Clarke GNR?
[edit]I wouldn't really consider Gilby Clarke to be an ex-Guns N' Roses member. He toured with them on one tour and recorded some cover tracks before getting fired. I think he should be credited as a "solo artist/ex-G N' R member" since the majority of his career was as a solo artist. That show (and this article) needs to lay off the "ex-Guns N' Roses" hype because quite frankly he's much less than that.
- This article states it because the show states it, so in that sense it's not inaccurate. Problems with it should be taken up with the producers of the show, really.
Navarro????
[edit]What about Dave Navarro----isn't he in there?
- Navarro, like Brooke Burke, is a part of the TV show and he is also a judge, but he is not part of the band. --Brian G (Talk) 13:52, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
The Wrong Choice?
[edit]Last night, Lucas Rossi was named lead singer for the rock group, Supernova, and I can't help but believe that the wrong choice was made last night. Toby Rand, Magni or Ryan Star would have been a better choice to lead Supernova. Lucas Rossi was less than stellar in his performances. It's the same story that I never pick the winner. My picks never win. I believe Supernova made the wrong choice, but that's just my POV.
I would have picked Toby, Magni or Ryan- but not LUcas Rossi. Wrong choice.
Nobody cares.Obviously the band though that Lukas ( with a k ) was best suited to front the band, I agree that Toby and Ryan ( not so much Magni ) would have been great singers, but Lukas wins, deal with it. Cameronrobson 17:36, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
The band made the wrong decision when they selected Lukas Rossi. Toby Rand and Ryan Star should have been selected as the lead singer of Supernova. Lukas Rossi was the wrong choice.
- Those are your opinions and shouldn't be a finite response of right or wrong. The final decision was that of Rock Star Supernova and in fact, Lukas got the most votes on the final voting. How this could be considered "Wrong" in any fashion other than someone's opinion baffles me.Dezza2001 02:02, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
I might be Canadian- I believe that Lukas Rossi was the wrong choice for Supernova. I supported Ryan Star. Ryan STar was my pick for Supernova- not Lukas Rossi. Lukas might have received the most votes- the fans and the band obviously made the wrong choice when Ryan Star and Toby Rand were clearly better. I didn't vote for Lukas. Lukas is hardly original in his style and vocals. Ryan Star and Toby Rand would have been the better choice.
The wrong choice was made and I stand firm in my position.
Tommy Lee
[edit]Right in the intro of this article, it states that Tommy Lee is an ex-Motley Crue member. I feel this is wrong (being a huge Crue fan) as he is in fact still touring with them and Aerosmith on their current "Route of All Evil" tour. He got back with the Crue in 2005 and they put out Red, White and Crue, and he is still listed as an official member. Should this statement that he is ex-Crue be changed? I think so.
Also, to add to "Wrong Choice", I agree. I think Toby should have won. He was killer, and though I am Canadian, I supported him more than Lukas.
Jason Newstead
[edit]On the right hand side it says Jason Newstead is a former member of the band yet still lists him in the first paragraph as a current member. This is a little inconsistent don't you think?
-I dont think Former member is needed... he only hurt his arm, he'll be back.
