Removal

[edit]

Just thought I'd say that the removal of my "promotional-sounding lines" describing Rock Plaza Central is pretty hilarious. I hate this band, and the only reason I made the entry is because I was shocked they didn't have one.

Of course my description wasn't totally objective, but if anything it was the opposite of fawning. How a summary of a band's sound that called them, among other things, "screeching" and "junk" got deleted for being too "promotional" is beyond me.

Given that it was the same user who tried to delete the page less than a minute after I made it, though, I'm thinking someone was a little delete-happy and got spiteful when it became clear the band was notable.

Oh well. I don't care enough about the band to try and reinstate the description, just thought I'd point out something funny.

Indie circles

[edit]

A major indie rock band? Um hardly. Pitchfork has certainly boosted their popularity but the sentence implies they're some moving force (or influential) within indie circles. Aided by Pitchfork, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Arcade Fire are two groups that have become "major indie rock bands." RPC? Not so much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pariah23 (talkcontribs) 04:56, 10 December 2006
