How did interurban passenger trains get from Milan to Rock Island? Did they electrify the Rock Island's line, or was a connection built to the Tri-City Railway at Milan? Or did passenger service end at Milan?

Was the leased Rock Island line electrified from Southern Junction (Preemption) to Cable and Sherrard, or was that only operated for steam freight service? --NE2 22:36, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
