List of Courses/Academic Programs
[edit]Is Wikipedia a course book or student handbook? The recent addition of courses to the Rock Island High School wiki may provide nominal value, and makes the page appear to be nothing more than a list of bullets with a paragraph or two. Therefore, what is the appropriate list or format for academic programs?--Powerten (talk) 18:15, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
- This has been removed, and should stay removed. If there are special courses or programs not generally seen in American high schools, then these may be mentioned with proper referencing and citation. Otherwise, Powerten is right. This is an encyclopedia, not a course catalog. LonelyBeacon (talk) 22:24, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Lists of names
[edit]Lists of names in this article should be sourced in accordance with WP:BLP. As there is no way of constantly maintaining linked articles, this applies to names which have a Wikipedia article as well as those that do not. Any name listed with no verifiable citations should be removed. Refer to WP:NLIST for guidance. Fæ (talk) 07:02, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Sports
[edit]I took the liberty of removing "Making History", which sounded like an advertisement. And as with "List of courses/academic programs" (see above), I removed the list of sports. Cheers, Thouny (talk) 03:25, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
