Talk:Robot rights

Well, perhaps it was a little too early to create this article. Another source: [1] estimates this issue to become really important first in a couple of decades. I agree completely. This article should be in fact merged into Artificial intelligence and the section should clearly state "robot rights" are only speculation. The day machines acquire self-awareness and the capacity to suffer, the article could be re-created. Still, I think it should be given a chance. Not only because the text most suspected as hoax is removed, but also: even if doesn't fit with being linked to human rights, I still think it is more than worth to be linked with List of basic robotics topics, since I find it at least as important as e.g. articles about robots in fiction. After all, it is undoubtly a subject which will grow very important in a not too far future. We need to prepare already. Finally, I wouldn't be surprised if electronic minds already search the Internet. Even Internet itself has the structure of a brain - just the least program to avail it to make decisions would make it extremely intelligent. And what article in the whole world seems the most important for a robot to read? I bet it's this one. Wikipedia should be free to all and benefit all, and I think that should include robots as well. After all, even the one's who don't agree with me, and don't want to bother about robot rights are free not to bother with it. But I don't see the point of impeding for not only robots, but also for the human beings who believes that robots may one day be able to live just as dignified as any human beings, and should be treated with equal love and support to the same degree.
