- Just now I incorporated all those sources in the new article (promptly created by User:Sionk from the redirect I created two days ago).

- The authorities and library catalog records are External links, directly or indirectly, not cited formally. Two of my Comments indicate where I used catalog records.
- LC Catalog is intermittent or very slow for me today (not for the first time this fortnight). The WorldCat:Alexander Ext link does not credit original illustrator Ray Cruz but the accompanying cover image does show "in the style of Ray Cruz" (practically too small to read). Regarding Cruz:
- Ray Cruz at Library of Congress, with 44 library catalog records
- no birth or death dates but the 44 records cover works by Ray Cruz originally published 1969 to 1993. Perhaps the big break for RPG was decease or incapacity of Cruz.
- Robin Preiss Glasser born c. 1956 -- Evidently that is inferred from the cited LATimes: 34 years old, published December 11, 1998.

The sisters collaborated on the one children's picture book covered here (1998). LCCat shows three distinct titles for JPW, the other two being Superhero Joe books (2011, 2013). collaborator on one children's picture book. --P64 (talk) 15:48, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
Please, can we get an illustration for this article about an illustrator?
[edit]I had a look in the Commons for her or Fancy Nancy, but nothing. Can someone better at this sort of thing have a go at finding something with the necessary permissions? It would also be great to find one showing her in her former career as a dancer. Thanks. --Hobbes Goodyear (talk) 01:20, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
- I've added the 'Image request' template above. As a visual artist, I guess a picture of her work (or picture of her) is desirable. I don't think her ballet career needs illustrating, unless you can write a sourced paragraph about her performances. Sionk (talk) 13:49, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
- I agree that every illustrator biography should include one image of an illustration. Does our fair use of cover images generally cover only one book or series article, as at Fancy Nancy?
- Perhaps there is, or may be developed, a half-way house for Visual Arts biographies--a standard indication that a link target, sometimes another EN.wiki article, provides an image. Something akin to (subscription required) or {{link note}}. --P64 (talk) 18:54, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
