rdm serves central oregon, not just redmond
[edit]I know the info is contained in a form- but it provides wrong info... the form says "closest city" when you edit, but when it displays, it displays "city served" in this case, if data was looked at by numbers of pop. served or geographical area served, it would not be redmond. redmond is only the closest, not biggest or most important to make a long story short, why does someone revert my edits when I try to clarify this? is it because the form says "closest" and not something else? Because basically it is wrong info you are putting out there. 66.220.110.152 02:46, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- Greetings, I have returned to article to reflect Redmond as City Served. First, Central Oregon is not a city. Second, under the same rational all airports located in Central Oregon should have their "city served" changed to Central Oregon instead of the communities they provide service to. Finally, the info box reflects the FAA 5010 Form. Please feel free to move this discussion to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airports for further clarification or consensus on how this box shall be used. --Trashbag 17:23, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
a- your link doesn't work b- yes all public passenger airports which have a wiki entry in Central Oregon should be changed. However there is only one- RDM. c- so you think DTW should be changed to "serving" Romulus, Michigan??? Thats silly and you know it. By pop., RDM serves Bend, Oregon foremost among numerous cities. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.220.110.152 (talk) 01:32, August 21, 2007 (UTC)
ps- go look at the IAH entry. It has the exact same setup as I am proposing (city served-greater houston), so I don't see much legs under the literal use of "city served". Also I changed the main template so "Serves" is connected to "primary city or area served" which apparently the users in Houston willl accept at least. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.220.110.152 (talk) 01:58, August 21, 2007 (UTC)
