- Roberto Torres Morales → Roberto Torres (footballer, born 1989)
- Roberto Torres (footballer) → Roberto Torres (footballer, born 1972)
– WP:COMMONNAME of both footballers is just "Roberto Torres", so disambiguator (footballer) for Paraguayan footballer is redundant. Standardize disambiguation to usual for footballers, and differentiate by birth year. Redirect Roberto Torres (footballer) to Roberto Torres. - Oppose Natural disambiguation is always preferable for Spanish names and that is how these people are disambiguated in other wikis (Spanish, Catalan, etc.). The Paraguayan player, Roberto Ismael Torres, is often called by his full name in sources (e.g. the latest source in Google News). Birth years do not aid disambiguation, especially if there are only two players and they are from different countries! Hence, (Spanish footballer) and (Paraguayan footballer) would be far better in this case. Neodop (talk) 00:14, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose using the years and support using the nationalities to differentiate as per Neodop. Crowsus (talk) 16:15, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- Nationality is fluid in football, hence why we advise against using it. GiantSnowman 17:58, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
- Support in principle but strongly prefer Roberto Torres (Paraguayan footballer) and Roberto Torres (Spanish footballer) per WP:NCPDAB. Yes, footballing nationality can be fluid, but in plenty of cases, like this one, it's not. (Based on the oppose votes, I could be one of them, but I do prefer using the common names over their full legal names, even if the former requires use of qualifiers.) --BDD (talk) 15:29, 20 February 2020 (UTC)

- Roberto Torres Morales → Roberto Torres (footballer, born 1989)
- Roberto Torres (footballer) → Roberto Torres (footballer, born 1972)
– WP:COMMONNAME of both footballers is Roberto Torres, redirect Roberto Torres (footballer) to Roberto Torres as per no WP:PRIMRYTOPIC. Another option is Roberto Torres (Paraguayan footballer) and Roberto Torres (Spanish footballer), but birthyear is preferred disambiguator for footballers because of fluidity of nationalities. Ortizesp (talk) 20:13, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support either one of the moves above, either is better than the current titles. Crowsus (talk) 22:54, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support 2nd as a PDAB given that the domination is less that 10:1[[1]] (926 v 119 and there were 2 199 jumps) and PDABs have a higher threshold than other PTs. No comment on the other move. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:06, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

- Support both as proposed ie using birth years as is our normal practice and policy. Redirects from the other proposed names would be helpful too. Andrewa (talk) 15:17, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
