Red hat premature for Archbishop González Nieves
To the best of my knowledge, the Holy See does not elevate Metropolitan Archbishops to the rank of cardinal as long as his predecessor lives. Therefore, Archbishop González cannot be in line for a red hat. Same thing with, for example, the Archbishop of Washington, D.C. That's why neither of them got the red had in the last consistory which also means that this article is dated. Teófilo de Jesús (talk) 01:30, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- I concur with that. There is no need for the Holy See to have two cardinals in such a small pastoral territory has Puerto Rico. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.145.83.136 (talk) 21:27, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
