Tony the Marine:

I apologize for causing a misunderstanding and Thanks for you observation but First The purpose of the poem is to compliment your statement that many poems have been written of Roberto Cofresi. Second People are free to contribute with information in this encyclopedia. Third you could have the authority to block me from Wikipedia but you do not have the right to question that I am the author of this poem. Because I could say the same from your article. How do we know that you wrote it and that it is not a copyrighted work? I am very sure that there are articles in this encyclopedia that are copied from other sources. I grew up hearing stories of Roberto Cofresi. Do not worry I will not post my poem again. I would like to earn a Nobel prize in literature to make you remember me. Martin R. Rodriguez

Personal Tributes

Hola, como estas? Look I really enjoyed the poem about Cofresi. I wrote the article and therefore you can see how interested I am in the subject. The problem is that you cannot publish your poem in the article. First of all the article is an encyclopedic article and not a place to post a tribute. Second, all information must have a verifiable source to avoid any copyright infringements. How do we know that you wrote it and that it is not a copyrighted work? Therefore, I kindly ask you to pleace stop posting the poem. I wouldn't want to block you under Wikipedias three revert rule. Thank you and Happy New Year! Privateer?

Was Cofresí more like a privateer than a pirate? Demf 14:15, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Even though the Spanish Crown turned their heads the other way as long as Cofresi did not attack any of the Spanish ships, Cofresi worked on his own and was not sanctioned by the government. While Miguel Enriquez was given a Letter of marque which made him a privateer, Cofresi never received any political backing. That's the reason that he is considered a pirate and known as "El Pirata Cofresi" by all of us who speak Spanish. Tony the Marine 23:44, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
