[edit]In the Amazon listing for Classification of Plant Communities http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/9061935660/qid=1148742373/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_0_1/202-8933148-6052605 it lists R.H. Whittaker, Robert Whittaker as authors. Are these one and the same?
Further Island Biogeography: Ecology, Evolution and Conservation is apparently written in 1998, so I'm guessing there is more than one Robert Whittaker working in ecology, a son perhaphs? --Salix alba (talk) 15:15, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Regarding the book listing: it's by the Robert H. Whittaker subject of this article; don't know why listed twice...
BUT, regarding the second citation: this is an entirely unrelated Robert J. Whittaker (British). Just a coincidence... Bold text
Please refer to Robert J. Whittaker for Robert J. Whittaker. --Janus01 12:17, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
