'original stories' of The Waltons and Apple's Way

I reverted an edit by anonymous user who claims they "Corrected factual inaccuracy which stated that Weverka wrote 'original stories' of The Waltons and Apple's Way when in fact they were novelisations of television scripts written by others." From my conversations with the author, it is my understanding that these were original stories written under contract and did not derive from television scripts.
