Thomas Crofton Croker connection
[edit]I read some years ago that Noonan was a descendent of Thomas Crofton Croker [1], the Cork born antiquarian. Unfortunately I mislaid the newspaper article in the intervening years. Does anyone have more information on this?Coolavokig (talk) 20:28, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
Noonan
[edit]On both this page, and the page for the book itself, I have changed the name Tressell to Noonan, except where it specifically relates to the book as published. Tressell was never a name he went by during his life. It doesn't seem to make much sense talking of "Tressell" being born or "Tressell" moving to South Africa. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.184.96.167 (talk) 22:45, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
This seems to be a slanted and very inadequate description of Tressel and his life. Though much was not known about him in earlier days, more facts and reliable accounts have come to light in recent years. A good place to begin would be http://www.hastingschronicle.net/tressell_02.html.
