This from the Athletic News 21 Aug 1888: 'The deceased's full name was Robert Seddon. He only assumed the second Christian name Lever [not Lionel] to distinguish him from two other Robert Seddons, who were playing football at the same time in Manchester...born on October 21st, 1860.'
