Overall a nice read. You need to work on your grammar a bit -- I fixed a number of run-on sentences and other grammatical irregularities. I've noted above that a few of the images have descriptions saying they are PD, but also contain a non-free image rationale. This is something that ought to be fixed (also, you should probably use the {{Information}} template to capture the origin of the picture), but I don't think it's something to hold up passing the GA.
