@Hawkeye7: I have chosen to ping you because you are the creator of this article, Robert Lyste Thornton. I hope you don't mind. Here is my question. Via Wikidata, I have discovered that there is a Persian Wikipedia article on Robert Lyster Thornton here, connected to this Wikidata item. An entry on Robert Lyster Thornton also used to exist on English Wikipedia, but was deleted on 1 October 2016 as copyvio by MER-C. I suspect a typo somewhere, but don't think WP:BOLD would cover this type of page move. MER-C, if you are willing, please view the deleted contents of Robert Lyster Thornton and ascertain whether or not Robert Lyster Thornton is Robert Lyste Thornton. If Hawkeye7 has access to sources that state Thornton's preferred spelling move the English pages accordingly and merge the Wikidata items Q7347079 and Q28939725. Thanks! I am not an admin, so I cannot view deleted sources. But Robert Lyster Thornton is Robert Lyste Thornton. The only question is which spelling is correct. The latter is used consistently by the University of California. [1] I have seen the other spelling elsewhere, ie at McGill University [2] and the University of Michigan [3]. I have no objection to the article being renamed. Hawkeye7 (talk) 03:53, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
