[edit]I met Kelly on his USO tour and he said he is from Medford, not Boston. Anyone have a good reference either way? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.176.198.62 (talk) 01:21, 6 March 2008 (UTC) Bobby Kelly is from Medford, my husband (a Medford boy) knows him well. Maybe it was just easier to say he was from Boston, people have heard of there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.192.153.92 (talk) 04:51, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Robert Kelly's comedy is heavily influenced by life-long mentor, fellow comedian Doug Bell. In 2004, Robert Kelly got his first television break, by appearing on the short lived CW Network's "Ring My Bell," hosted by Doug Bell. Many credit (Doug) Bell for giving his life long friend, Robert Kelly his first break in show business (Compound Media, 2021) (Cameo.com/DougBell, 2021).
