[edit]The NYT bio lists his birthdate as being in 1951..? Unmake 02:21, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
I have been researching his true birth date and location for weeks. Every source has both location and date listed differently. The IMDB [1] has him listed as being born in 1955, in Quebec, while other sources list him as 1960 or 1961 in Long Island; however it's a fact that he was raised in Long Island. Considering he doesn't give many interviews and is not a very well known actor, I don't see any way of knowing his true birth date or location. Nikki88 11:12, 6 Nov. 2006 (UTC)
- public records show either 1950 or '51. can't be the 60s if he went to purchase in the '70s and has been acting in soaps since that decade. (he wasn't a child actor, was he?)
Robert John Burke was born on September 12th 1960, in Washington Heights Manhattan NYC. His biography and professional credits have been mixed up with another 'Robert Burke' for about 18 years.
"Burke is married with two children."
Huh, I did not know one could marry children in the US. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.254.131.184 (talk) 15:24, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
How can this be two different people with the same name. Don't Hollywood actors' unions forbid using the same working names?[2] Besides that, both sources that say he was born in 1951 in Northport and sources saying he was born in 1960 in NYC both list this name with the same acting credits, so they must be talking about the same guy? But besides all that, I agree that 1960 doesn't make any sense at all if he graduated SUNY Purchase in 1971. IMDb's gotta be messed up. --Fife Club (talk) 06:12, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

so many gaps!!
[edit]But for starters...
Firstly, I'm kinda new here. Could someone who knows how maybe differentiate more clearly Robert John Burke from faded gloryhound Robert John Burck, the Naked Cowboy? Search engines like to relate thetwo.
In the article, commanding general of the 92nd Division, Buffalo Soldiers, in the 2008 Spike Lee film Miracle at St. Anna.[2] looks like a bland mistruth -- compare Buffalo Soldiers.
