World War II service
[edit]Although Burke served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served overseas in a war zone during the war. More specifically, the sources do not establish defining role in World War II. Accordingly, Category:American military personnel of World War II was removed from the article. Semper Fi! - Note: The D.S.S. Form 1 for Robert Henry Burke at the U.S. National Archives has handwritten note, "Inactive status 7/30/46. Released to the U.S. Army Air Corps Reserve 5/22/4?" (the exact year in 1942 is difficult to read). Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 19:48, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
