Image caption
[edit]I'm getting rather tired of having to restore relevant and informative content to the image caption, not least when the guidelines quoted in edit summaries removing it are being wildly misapplied. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:24, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- Andy, per MOS:CAPLENGTH a full-sentence caption is appropriate when the "caption […] convey[s] the significance of the article by explaining the significance or context of the image". Please explain how your proposed caption does that? Neither Gillmor's "week as artist in residence at Nature in Art" nor his work "Birds New to Norfolk" is even mentioned anywhere in the article so they obviously can't be of the significance you ascribe to them. - As you yourself quote:
"a full-sentence caption is appropriate when ... explaining the significance or context of the image"
. Also, "Birds New to Norfolk" is indeed mentioned in the article. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:32, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
