[edit]I performed some cleanup while out-of-state and basically only able to use ancestry.com's library edition and other internet resources. I have no idea why this bio is highlighted for Albemarle County, when he appears to have spent most of his career in Campbell County. I also can't check Cynthia Miller Leonard's volume or other resources available in local history sections outside Lynchburg to learn whether Kean was in fact elected to the Confederate House of Representatives, and if so, what district.Jweaver28 (talk) 01:38, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
- Must all history/biography now include a tally of slaves owned? This biography is highlighted for ALbemarle County due to the fact that his wife and father-in-law, Thomas Mann Randolph, Jr (46 slaves) were prominent citizens of the county and related to Thomas Jefferson (600+ slaves) also a prominent citizen of the county. BTW, Robert Garlick Hill Kean owned NO SLAVES!!!!! Moreover, U.S. Grant (30 slaves), Union General, had more slaves than Confederate Colonel Kean!!! Walker0416 (talk) 17:50, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
